Message From The Pastor
St. John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
This one verse is a message for every believer to embrace at a time like this as well as all times. It was a sad time because Christ the Savior was about to go away. Knowing that the disciples would be concerned, he gave them comfort in these few words. We may not see Christ, but he has left his peace with us. The peace that he has given will be an everlasting peace.
This verse also reminds us to forget about any lasting peace from the world. The world’s peace is a false peace. The peace that God gives will help us not to be troubled or afraid. These are troubling times but we have been told not to be troubled or afraid. I believe we should take him at his word.
God’s peace be with you all!
